Do We Need to Change Our Lives to Stay Sober?
Two strategies that didn't work for me, and one that did.
One of the questions that I’ve struggled with since I quit drinking is: “How much should I change the rest of my life to support my sobriety?”
Is sobriety just a matter of quitting alcohol and leaving every other part of my life the same? Does sobriety require a complete overhaul of every aspect of my being? Or does the answer lie somewhere in between?
In today’s newsletter, I’m going to share two approaches to change that didn’t work for me, and then the one that did.
Before I get to that, I just wanted to mention that this is my 100th newsletter. That’s almost two years of writing this newsletter—and another few years of blogging before that. Thank you all for reading, and I hope the newsletter continues to be interesting and helpful!
