Last week, I went running with a friend from the United States who had come to visit Spain. The topic of sobriety came up, and he asked me whether I found it difficult to abstain in a country with such an alcohol-heavy culture.

I was happy that I could answer honestly, “No, it’s not remotely difficult.”
