From time to time, I feel depressed thinking about how many years I wasted with alcohol.

I was a heavy, daily drinker for about a decade. It’s certainly not the longest that anyone has spent as an active alcoholic, but it’s not chump change either. It’s a huge portion of my life and it’s time that I’ll never get back.

It can be a hard emotion to deal with. No matter how much work we put into sobriety, no matter how much we improve our lives, we can’t change the past. In today’s newsletter, I’d like to share the strategies I’ve used through this feeling.
